Is the free plan really free?+
Yes. One booth, full software, the fleet dashboard, offline delivery, and DSLR or webcam support — no card required. If you run a free event (say, a friend's wedding where guests don't pay), it costs you absolutely nothing. The 15% platform fee only applies when you actually charge guests.
Can I run a completely free event?+
Absolutely. Set the booth to free mode and guests snap and print at no charge — you pay nothing and we take nothing. Then for a paid gig, switch to paid mode and guests pay by card; on the free plan we take 15% of those charges. One booth handles both, event to event.
What cameras work?+
Tether a Canon DSLR for premium image quality, or run a plug-and-play 4K USB webcam. It's your choice per booth — the same software drives both.
How do guest payments work?+
You connect your own payment account. Guests tap or insert a card at the booth, and the money goes to you, minus a small platform fee (15% on Free, down to 3% on Power). With an offline-capable reader, payments even work at venues with terrible internet — cards are captured on-site and reconcile once you're back online.
What happens if a booth loses internet mid-event?+
The booth keeps running. It captures, prints, and queues photo deliveries locally, then syncs automatically when the connection returns. A built-in watchdog also restarts the app if it ever crashes.
How do offline card payments work — and what should I know?+
When the venue Wi-Fi drops, the booth can still accept card payments: the reader approves the card on-site, the payment is stored securely on the booth, and it's automatically forwarded to Stripe once you're back online (sync within 24 hours for best results). Because offline payments can't fully verify the card at the moment of sale, a few honest terms apply: they skip Stripe's real-time fraud checks, they aren't settled until forwarded, Stripe caps offline amounts based on your account history, and in rare cases a card can decline when it syncs (so offline mode is best for lower-value transactions like prints). Offline payments are stored on the booth until they sync — if that device is lost or wiped first, those specific payments can't be recovered. Online payments have none of these limitations.
What if the printer jams or runs out of paper?+
The booth doesn't go down — it automatically switches to digital-only mode so guests keep snapping and receive their photos by text or QR code. You get an instant alert to restock or clear the jam, and no one at the event is left staring at a dead booth.
Can I manage more than one booth?+
That's the whole point. Every booth reports to one dashboard where you see live status, push branding and settings to the whole fleet, and update software over the air — no site visits.
